Before you build for clients

Bought GoHighLevel. Now what?

GHL Incubator helps you become ready to trade — with one clear offer, one tested agency setup, and a fulfilment path you actually understand.

Built from 30+ public setup-pain sources, hundreds of hours inside GHL communities, and real agency build experience. No income screenshots. No borrowed snapshots. No sub-account hostage model. See the receipts →

The problem

The dashboard is not empty. It is overloaded.

You logged in expecting momentum and found this waiting:

Funnels
Workflows
Pipelines
Calendars
Domains & DNS
Email deliverability
Phone & SMS
Snapshots
SaaS mode
AI assistants
Sub-accounts
Payments

Most people are not failing because GoHighLevel is too hard.

They are stuck because they started in the middle.

You do not need to master every feature. You need the right order.

The new standard

The goal is not "first client."
The goal is ready to trade.

Ready to trade means your agency — not your client — has been the test case first.

Your agency is the first test account. Your client should not be.

The three-stage path

One stage at a time. In order.

01 Agency Ready

Get your agency ready before opening GHL.

Docs, domain plan, DNS, email decision, SMS decision, offer clarity, access and ownership, cost and usage plan. The thinking happens before the platform.

02 Sales Ready

Eat your own dog food before going to market.

Build and test your own agency's enquiry, booking, follow-up and fulfilment path. If you wouldn't trust it yourself, do not sell it to a client.

03 Client Ready

Prepare client delivery after your own system works.

Client intake, verification docs, sub-account domain pattern, permissions, QA checklist, handover process and support boundaries — built, not improvised.

What to skip

What you can avoid by getting the order right.

Blank dashboard freeze

No start-here sequence means no momentum.

Random snapshot imports

A snapshot is an ingredient, not the meal.

Deliverability surprises

A green DNS record is not a ready domain.

Broken booking links

Test your own links before sending to clients.

Workflow misfires

Untested automations become client incidents.

SMS setup mistakes

SMS is a feasibility decision, not a default feature.

Vague "AI automation" offers

Selling scope you can't map is a liability.

Using clients as test cases

Your own system should work first.

AU / NZ

Most GHL tutorials are not built for AU/NZ setup reality.

In Australia and New Zealand, getting ready to trade involves more than software setup. It involves communications setup — and the rules are different here.

  • AU SMS Sender ID: The ACMA Sender ID Register began 1 July 2026. Agencies using branded SMS sender IDs must register to avoid disruption. acma.gov.au →
  • Phone number bundles: Every AU local number in GHL must be linked to an approved Regulatory Compliance Bundle.
  • Domain and email trust: Sender authentication, consent handling and unsubscribe requirements apply regardless of platform.
  • NZ SMS: Availability is constrained by provider, number type and local requirements. Verify your pathway before building automations around it.
